No Shoes! Dirty Feet...
So, April 8th was TOMS Shoes One Day Without Shoes...it's where you shuck your shoes in support of what they do - giving shoes to kids that are in need of shoes - www.toms.com - it was chilly on Thursday - and let's face it - I live in The Woodlands, not a third world country, so my experience isn't the experience of a child somewhere in the world that needs a pair of shoes, but I do love my TOMS and I support them every chance my husband lets me ;) - 4 pairs and counting! I loved that day though - I felt like a total rebel, walking around without shoes on, knowing I should have them on, waiting for someone to ask...and some people did. So I got to share what I was doing. And with a lot of people who didn't know anything about TOMS and what they do... And, what they do - if you don't know - is very simple - you buy a pair of shoes and they donate a pair of shoes to a child somewhere in the world in need. I love it. I was very happy to wash my dirty feet at the end of the day though...I don't like going without shoes - I like slippers and socks and shoes.
