program5
This is a clip I stole from Cherie of the kids' 4th grade program...Cassidy is sort of in the center in red....she's the one with the smoothest moves....enjoy!!!!
Swamp People!
So, you all know how much I love me some Troy Landry and the Swamp People show...well, of course, I'm friends with him on Facebook...and he sent out a little blurb that he and the rest of the folks were going to be at the Bass Pro Shop in Denham Springs....so I called my Mama and told her she should go out and see them because, hello - it's Troy! ;) She and my nephew Aaron go and she says it was big fun and that she took lots of pics and got their autographs and such. I was pea green with envy for sure.
Skip to the Christmas trip to Louisiana and I get to my mom's house...I go back to my bedroom and on the chest is this sign that says "Hi Chris" with autographs of all the Swamp People...I squealed (yes, squealed) with delight and ran to the kitchen and just went on and on about how fabulous this was. Then Mama hands me the envelope of pictures....
Seriously....best Christmas surprise EVER!!!!! I totally had no idea she did that for me. She said each one of them would ask who Chris was, and she would tell them about her daughter in Texas who told her to come out today to see them and how much I loved them and the show...LOVE IT!!!! She is the best mom in the whole wide world!!!!
a new post? a Christmas miracle!
okay, I know I've become the biggest blogger slackerella, but I forget that not everyone has facebook and that where I post many of my pearls of wisdom. My resolution for the New Year shall be to be more attentive to my blog...cross your fingers for me.
The Nutcracker was awesome! The girls and I had a total blast and I'm a little sad that it's over...I think I missed a calling somehow...I do crave the spotlight - this star power needs to SHINE.... ;)
I've discovered an old passion for glitter - I think everything should be sparkly and shiny...so if you see me and I have glitter on, oh, my face, hair, clothes, nails, don't judge. Smile indulgently, like a good friend should.
We had a wonderful trip home to Louisiana for a little early Christmas...I enjoyed it so much...especially the time with my nieces and nephews...they are all growing up so fast...too fast for my taste. I also got a little one on one time with my mom and sister, which was awesome! And got to visit my grandparents, who aren't feeling the best, so say a little prayer for them when you think about it. Kriste and I got to indulge in some Romans, which really is my fave thing to do in BR. Much to Coleen's dismay, I did not run into any Twilight people. How the heck do you find out where they are anyway...they need to let people know so we can stalk them properly.
Christmas was great - Jon got me the most beautiful heirloom quality jewelry box to hold all of my trinkets...the girls got more crap than they needed...I'm seriously considering going to a 3 gifts of the Magi approach next year because it was ridiculous because I'm the one who bought all the crap. Maybe I'm just feeling a little Scoogey today....someone has made me a little annoyed and that could be why I feel this way. Time will tell, I'll probably forget all about this great idea by next year.
So, I guess you are all caught up....here are some pictures to enjoy....
