a long time coming...

has it really been since July that I've posted on my blog...that is just sad and tragic all over the place! I have been very busy, as you can imagine....The girls started school in August and that's going well - they are both making good grades and love school for the most part....they think they have the best teachers in the world, which is half the battle I think, and Jon and I do agree. Megan is becoming quite the diva preteen, driving me completely insane with clothing issues....oh, how I wish for uniforms....Cassidy is her usually crazy little self, entertaining the world, and driving her sister crazy (but so am I - so, you can see how easy that is)....Jon has been traveling here, there and everywhere....I had a bad bout with depression with is not good considering I'm on anti-depressants....it got pretty bad, but I finally figured out that it was because I had switched to the generic form of my medicine....let that be a lesson learned there....within 3 days of switching back, I no longer wanted to run away from home or hide under the pile of shoes in my closet. So, that's good. September came and with that started Nutcracker rehearsals....every Sunday till the first weekend of December now belongs to Boni. Megan is a Candy Cane, and Cassidy is a Party Girl. I'm going to be a Party Mom so I can dance with her like I did when Megan was in the party scene. We are having fun, a little too much some times. Sometimes, we parents aren't the best role models for the children at rehearsals - there are two dads in particular (one is my party husband) that are a little rowdy, and I am easily lured into their hijinks....not my fault at all! Megan will be doing extra performances this year, which I'm not sure if either one of us is very excited about that or not. Like at the Lighting of the Doves, and the Nutcracker Tea Party, and two other things that I don't remember now but have on a piece of paper somewhere in the house...Football season has started so that is exciting - Tiga Parties at the Pierce's....Evan loves these as much as we do, and if we don't have one, he is usually not too happy. With the way Miles is coaching, we've gotta put the earmuffs on him for the last quarter to keep him from learning colorful new phrases from Jon...haha...I did get invited to an incredible ceremony with the VFW post here in The Woodlands - their POW/MIA ceremony...it was so beautiful and heartbreaking, and I was so honored to be invited. They have a POW in their Post, Mr. Bob, from WWII in Japan, and he was a delight to meet - it was his birthday that night, and he was 92....I thanked him for his service for our country, and he shrugged it off the way that most WWII vets do, and was more interested in chatting about the fact that he made it to 92....he even busted out his ID to show me......Lauren is back in the USA for a few months, so that is exciting for us - we can't wait to see her...My mom and dad got a camp, so we are super excited to check it out when we make to back to LA...Camp Vige'...I just hope I get to go gator hunting like Troy and Jr. on Swamp People! haha....Kriste, Randy and the kids came for Labor Day weekend - we spent the night down at the Galleria with them and had the best time...the girls miss hanging out with family, and so do I....

well, I think that's about all I got for now...I'll try not to let so much time pass next time before I post...and next time - pictures!
