so, it's summer and here's what is going on....
that's right - NOTHING! and that's just the way I like it! haha
Oh, the girls have had sleepovers and such. I've done as little as possible. Business will be picking up shortly though. We've started packing for Camp Good News next week - the girls leave Monday. Stress around the home front has decreased some, which is nice. I imagine we'll make a trip to LA next month...I'm hoping. I'm starting to work on a project with Lauren with some Girl Scouting for her girls in Tanzi - we are going to make them sister scouts to Cassidy's girl scout troop - I'm pretty excited about that. Jon says I have to declutter the house - I am not happy about that - I like my stuff and don't want to throw any of it away (because I'm a closet hoarder, and it's hard to let stuff go). But I guess I'll do my best to keep the peace. And that's pretty much it for now. I'll have good stuff next week as they leave for camp.

More bragging...
Sadly, when you get to Intermediate school, they don't give awards, which I think is just a crying shame. So, just to toot Megan's horn - she made straight A's all year long too!! She's an Academic superstar - GO MEGAN!!! Here's a pic of her and her friends that walk home from school every day - I can't believe she's officially a 6th grader now....I'm going to go cry now...
Summer is officially here...
Awards!
3rd grade has really been the best year for Cassidy - she has come so far with her grades and just everything at school - we are SO proud of her. She received 3 awards at the awards ceremony the last week of school - she made straight A's on her report card ALL YEAR - AWESOME! She received an Accelerated Reader award for getting all 7 medals, and she had a total of 129 AR points. And she received an award from the Computer teacher for Keyboarding - she types 35 words a minute with 97% accuracy. My little Superstar! So, you go Cassidy - keep on shining!
the dance recital
The girls' dance recital was this past Memorial Day weekend - they were so beautiful! The theme this year was Boni's on Broadway, which was Jon's worst nightmare - he hates a musical! haha My mom, and Jon's parents came in for the festivities - the girls love to have an entourage. Megan danced Saturday night to All Shook Up - her jazz number - she was awesome...she loved that dance and the costume. Sunday both girls had their ballet dances - Cassidy danced to Matchmaker from Fiddler on the Roof, and Megan danced to a Phantom of the Opera mix (I love the Phantom!) - they were so elegant. Sunday during the second act - a big storm rolled thru about the time of Megan's dance, and it made it even more theatrical with the thunder and lightning and wind whipping thru - kinda crazy! Always a fabulous recital!
Cassidy's birthday
We had Miss Bug's party at this fun place called All About Crafts - the kids got to paint their own pottery - BIG fun - hard to believe that my sweet little baby girl is 9 years old. Her last year in the single digits. It's killing me... We had a super small party, and she loved being surrounded by her bffs... now I just have to go pick up those painted pieces and get them to everybody...
