Happy Birthday Megan!

My beautiful princess Megan turned 9 on Thursday the 7th. When did this child get to be 9? I swear, I'm going to wake up tomorrow and she'll be leaving me for college. Ugh. She had a great day - I brought her Sonic for lunch (she loves mozzie cheese sticks) and some cookies to share with her class (she thought she was big-time - the cookies were pink and white and had a big M on each one), she got to go to Chipotle for dinner, and her dad surprised her and came home early from out of town and brought her some pretty pink roses.

Crazy dogs...

Update on my Maks - he's home and during great. He's on a special diet and some meds probably till Tuesday. Dr. Briers will check him out again when he goes in on the 18th for his neuter appt. I did have him micro-chipped while he was at the vet's, so he's 100% mine now.

Here's a pic of crazy Maggie. I bought Maks this kennel and had it downstairs trying to figure out where to put it. So when Maggie came in from outside to "kennel up", she squeezed her big booty into Maks' kennel. It's crazy good times over here - come visit and share in the fun!

the Six Million Dollar dog...

...we can rebuild him....Okay, so...you just know that my sweet little dog Maks isn't going to make my life easy. I won't go into the gory details, let's just say that he was having some problems that ended up with him going to the animal ER, and now is being hospitalized for some IV fluids and meds, etc. The vet said if we hadn't brought him in when we did, he would have died. Great. Jon says that now I know why he was on the side of the road....So, tomorrow morning I'll pick him up from there and bring him to our regular vet probably for them to keep him another day or so. Chester is loving having the love seat all to himself without having to bark and snarl at anyone.

Please keep the Edgington family in your prayers - their daughter Carlie lost her battle with cancer (neuroblastoma) Saturday morning. Carlie had dance with Cassidy last year, and she was truly one of the sweetest little girls - she had a smile that could light up the world. You can read about her fight at www.caringbridge.org/tx/misscarlie . I still can not wrap my head around this, why things like this happen. Ugh.

Cassidy's newest book

Our little author has blessed us with another one of her extremely entertaining stories....enjoy! (our favorite part is the bottom of page 3 - this kid cracks us up!!)

Thinking back...

I was on a scrapbooking retreat last weekend, and the period of time that I'm working on is when Josh (Jon's younger brother) came home from Japan and got married. So, here are some pics from that - from the airport and the wedding.
Please keep Josh in your prayers that God will keep him safe while in Iraq.
