Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. We had a busy one, and loved visiting with all of the family. We luckily made it back home before Santa got to Texas, so that was a plus! The girls got everything they wanted (well, except for Cassidy...there were no Pixelchix and she was just a little sad....haha) - their favorites being Megan and her pink guitar (it's her most prized possession) and Cassidy and her Baby Alive (she named her Crystal, and she got to go to Kroger today in a stroller). The day after Christmas, we went out to the country and spent the day with Jason and Karen and her family. They have cows, which I loved. The girls didn't love being slobbered on by the cows and the cows didn't much care for the girls' loud voices and quick movements. They did however love hanging all over Karen and eating a thousand gingerbread cookies. Today, Debra and Madison are visiting us, and the girls are having fun showing off all of their new goods.

Here's a funny picture of me - we were earning the "Let's Pretend" try-it at Cassidy's Brownie Troop's last meeting, and I couldn't resist dressing up as well. My fave part of this is my GS Leader pins on my cool troop shirt. It really finishes the look, and I totally own it.

More Nutcracker Pictures

More pics from The Nutcracker. Again, we were so happy that the grandparents came in to see Megan - she felt really special. I especially appreciate my daddy coming - ballet is definitely not his bag. Do you think it may be my gift to expose certain people to the arts? Hmmm...a curious thought.

The Nutcracker

Megan was in her first Nutcracker ballet last weekend. She had the best time ever. She was (and still is) so excited about the experience and can't wait to try out for next year's performance. She was a mouse, which is what most girls start out as. My parents and Jon's parents came in, which was very special to all of us. She had 3 mouse queens, and thought they were the coolest in the world. All of the older girls are very sweet to the little girls and love to take time out to take pictures with them. (and of course, there were "men in tights"! It's a shame we only get to see them once a year - I really need season tickets to the ballet! haha)

Okay, can you believe that it has taken me this long to get one of these things. I'm actually more surprised that Cassidy hasn't made one of these for herself. So, now in the middle of all the little things I do every day, I'll be trying to keep all of you posted on it. Wish me luck!
